In June 2019, WFP delivered all three UAS training modules in El Salvador and hosted a regional workshop for Central America, which brought together academic, government and humanitarian organizations from the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama.
During the two-week regional training event, participants were able to get hands-on drone flight, mapping and coordination experience. It was also a unique opportunity for key regional stakeholders to come together, exchange ideas around common challenges and strengthen collaboration in the region.
